Most of the present computational tools utilized in toxicity assessments, together with chemical alternatives assessments, rely both on chemical or organic data. Specifically, construction activity-based computational approaches try and predict the toxicity for a specific health end point from chemical construction alone, whereas novel biological data-based bioinformatics approaches do not normally take full benefit of the inherent structural features of chemical molecules. Incorporating these features may improve the accuracy of the prediction or increase the confidence of the assessor.
